Andrew’s work showcases architectural detailing, a strong control of the watercolor medium through precise wash rendering techniques. Andrew has produced work for Nike Inc., YMCA, Northwestern University, Peter Pennoyer Architects, as well as numerous personal commissioned projects.
Andrew’s on location and travel sketching is an integral part of his creative process. As a group administrator and blog correspondent for the Chicago Urban Sketchers, Andrew’s involvement in both local and global sketching communities provide him with continual creative inspiration.
In 2008, Andrew studied abroad in Florence, Rome, Venice and Paris. It was through intensive drawing, painting, and documenting of vernacular architectural languages and urban planning strategies that Andrew first realized his passion for creating art. Andrew carried this passion through his collegiate education earning his Bachelors of Arts in 2009 and Master of Architecture degree in 2011 from Judson University.
Andrew was born and raised in Boston, MA. As an avid bicyclist, Andrew spends countless hours riding along Lake Michigan shores and beaches, as well as exploring and riding through Chicago neighborhoods. Andrew loves to travel. One of his most memorable travel experiences, aside from Europe, was his three months spent working and hiking in Glacier National Park.
